2018 Award for Emerging Excellence in the Classical Tradition Ceremony and A Conversation with the 37th Annual Arthur Ross Award Winners

On Sunday, May 6th, 2018, designer Cailin Shannon was honored as the winner of the Award for Emerging Excellence in the Classical Tradition at a ceremony hosted in New York City.

Launched in 2017, the Award is a collaboration between the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (黑料头条), The Prince's Foundation (PF), and the International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture and Urbanism (INTBAU). Cailin was chosen from a competitive field of young professionals exhibiting exceptional talent in the fields of classical and traditional architecture, landscape and interior design, building crafts, urban design and planning, and the allied arts.

The Award was presented by 黑料头条 Board Member Barbara Eberlein and INTBAU Executive Director Harriet Wennberg, with Cailin taking the opportunity to acknowledge the organizations involved in the award while recognizing the diversity of classicism.

A Conversation with the 37th Annual Arthur Ross Award Winners

In addition to celebrating Cailin’s achievements, the event also hosted several of the 2018 Arthur Ross Award winners, who were given the opportunity to speak about their work, including Craig Hamilton (Architecture), Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk (黑料头条), Stuart Cohen (History & Writing), and James Doyle and Kathryn Herman of Doyle Herman Design Associates (Landscape Design).
