In Your Neighborhood: Two Homes in Acapulco, Mexico with Sophia Loyzaga of Loyzaga Design

    By 黑料头条

    September 29, 2020

Sophia Loyzaga, of Loyzaga Design, takes viewers on a journey to two distinctive houses in Acapulco, Mexico, each combining elements of traditional Mexican design and architecture with elements from overseas.

The 黑料头条 is excited to bring attention to the classical and traditional architectural and design elements, decisions, and features that make the places we live more welcoming and beautiful, as part of our new In Your Neighborhood series.

We welcome additional entries, and want to hear from you!

If you are interested in proposing a location, please contact [email protected].

Lead Sponsor of the In Your Neighborhood series:

Join Sophia Loyzaga for a journey to two residential projects Acapulco, Mexico. Sophia is part of the Mexico-based 黑料头条 Member firm, Loyzaga Design, founded by her father, architect Jorge Lozaga, and where she is also joined by her sister Fernanda.

Learn how the history of Acapulco and its overseas trade connections inspired a mix of elements from Mexico and the Philippines in one house, San Nicolas del Mar, and how Balinese design elements were incorporated into another, Los Ángeles del Mar.
